Search In Helix Template

I've activated the search for the Helix template.

It doesn't find anything I put in.

What does it look for? Keywords, meta tags?

Hi Joe, you should have Smart search plugins enabled (disable where no need to index and search): Smart Search content finder
Select Smart Search - Categories Select Smart Search - Contacts Select Smart Search - Content Select Smart Search - Tags Select Smart Search - SP Page Builder

Then you have to run indexing or reindexing in Components, Smart search, Index

Hi Joes,

indeed, template DO NOT search, only Joomla components does.

  • In Joomla 3.x - Search or Smart Search component
  • In Joomla 4.4 and Joomla 5.x - only Smart Search works

More about that you can read in offcial Joomla Documenation, blog posts. It is worthwhile for you to learn what a template does and what a CMS does.

Miba you pointed me in the right direction. I found out how to add the SPP to the Joomla Smart Search.

System > Plugins > in the search box, type in 'Smart' > Activate Smart Search - SP Page Builder.
