SP Page Builder 2 years ago

Hi, Still using 3.8 and I was wondering if the older documentaion was archived so existing user can still access it? Nia did provide a link but its broken - https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/sp-page-builder/sp-page-builder-3-x

Side note, naming an AI, it never works out well in films and books, just say'in ;-)

Cheers Steve

HI

Thanks for contacting us. I am sorry to say that SPPB 3 documentation is not available now. I think you can now upgrade the page builder version. Make sure you have full site backup before doing any changes.

-Regards.

If upgrading were guaranteed to only take me under one hour, which including all the testing I need, I might think about. However since the process alone, even if everything goes 100% according to plan, will still take me many hours of work. Also, there is th retraining on using the new UI, which boils down to time I just don't have right now.

Unlike a majority of your users, my site is a personal/hobby site, so I am not gettng paid to upgrade nor are there any new features which my users must have. Also considering how 4 went, surely y'all can understand your user base being a little gunshy.

A shame that a small space on your servers couldn't be reserved for an archive of your older existing content, which I'm guessing is still used by some of your other customers. Guess I'll just ask question on the forum then, a much better use of your time :-) Cheers

Hi SPD,

if you already used SPPB 3.8x for many years you don't need documenation for not supported version, besides... YOUTUBE - there are serveral video guides that include 3.x version, easy to find and watch.

Hello Paul, I hope all is well. Not to belabor the issue, but I defeintely did not use all the features in 3.8 so do not have everything memorised at this point.

And youtube videos, while a good source for information, you still need to sit through waiting until it get to the single peice of information I need, if it ever does. Kinda like having a youtube dictionary, would take a long time until I got to xylophone ;-)

Anyway, just been having a hard time with webstuff lately so a bit cranky. Have aceppted Mehtaz answer so I am ready to move on. All the best

You can always ask Us, we use that component for many years. So I know what is/was possible and what is not.
