Error 500 - How Can We Solve Json_decode Mistake?

Template 1 year ago

Now, I must make a backup from my webspace plus database.

  • I used the Themis template
  • I had no Json for this template
  • When I copied Json into the template folder, the disaster really began. Then the backend also stopped working. Previously I had errors in the frontend. Error 500!!!
  • Now I am careful to reinstall the Themis template. How should I proceed so that these errors no longer occur?
  • I have created a picture of the debug error list. I have not saved it as Html. I had tried it earlier by saving from Word to html. It was totally blurry.
  • Create a way for me to send an upload of me picture (debug error list) to you.

To fix the json error I need a complete Themis template including for json font.

I can't judge the other errors that come from the debug. I am not a programmer.

Thanks in Advance

Tatiana

PS. Is there a "safe" template that does not make any problems.

Hi Tatiana,

what for you need .Json ? yes, it contains some basic settings, but to be honest you don't need them. Those settings are NOT the demo website!

  1. Uninstall template.
  2. Install template again
  3. Update Helix plugin
  4. And use it with your own settings

There are many websites "file hosting free" where you can upload screenshots, then share link to it. For example: ufile.io

As mentioned above, I had to make a backup for both the webspace and the database. Currently the site is without errors.

Why do you know about Json? I see this on the debug list.

How can I send you a picture to solve the problems properly.

I'll answer you like this, If you have CSS skills I strongly recommend using raw Helix Ultimate template Or just one of last templates made in last 6 months. Then there is a better chance that you will have fewer problems than using an older template.

Does this mean that I have to load Helix into my Joomla. So far I have the SP Pagebuilder Pro. No, I am not a programmer and have no special knowledge of CSS.

What is your suggestion on what I should do now. Download Helix. Do you have a quick link to hand.

Thanks

Themis - is a template, that uses template and helix plugin. Those two are needed to make it work.

Joomla should show you a message that there is update available. Then just click "Update".

You don't have to be programmer, just please learn Joomla basics.
And CSS is needed when you want to change something that is not possible from settings or to understand how some settings works. In "old times" it was MUST have essential knowledge.

Helix plugin? Only the plugin. There are free different Helix.

https://www.joomshaper.com/joomla-templates?search=helix

What of these 3 should I use and which of the offered downloads.

Example. The second item (Helix 3) offers download for

a) Quickstart Joomla 4 b) Template J3&J4 c) Plugin.

Or should I use

Helix Ulitmate.

Corporex is J3 --> which I not use.

https://www.joomshaper.com/joomla-templates/themis

look to the right side, there is ALWAYS information what Helix name is used. This same info you can see inside Template Options.

In that case Helix Ultimate plugin. If you have 2.0.18 it's the most current version.

And please DO NOT mix Helix3 and Helix Ultimate templates on that same site, especially if you are a novice webmaster.

Super, thanks for these details.

One Question to the template. Would you recommend the quickstart Pack J4 or only the template or must I download both?

Read differences: https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/joomla-templates/delacroy/template-quickstart-sp-page-builder-pro

this is common info for all templates.

It depends on what your level of Joomla knowledge is. All my friends install raw Joomla, then install Helix Ultimate template, then SPPB and other extenions. They do not need demo data, if we talk about raw Helix Ultimate template, but for premium templates based on it, it's better to install QS, then you get all demo data.

Thanks, I understand.

I have migrate J3 to J4 and now to J5.02. I have SPPB tool.

So I need only the Helix Ultimate Template.

You write first this, then that...etc.

Is it important to keep to the order? At the moment I am running a test version (subdomain of my website, which is still running on J3). And SPPB is running on it.

If the order is important, I would have to uninstall SPPB first and install Helix and only then SPPB. Is the order sensitive/important?

So I tried it:

  1. Joomla 5.02 and SPPB already installed
  2. I installed plg_Sytem_helixultimate_v2.18.zip
  3. I installed themis_template.zip

Seems Ok, but Frontend shows Error 500! OMG :-(

....

I deinstalled the Themis template and now it shows cassiopeia again at the frontend. Thats good at the moment!

....

More than 3 ours later... as thought about it... now... I have the solution...I didnt active the plg_System_helixultimate. So I have done it, load the Themist template again and it seems to work. Hope all is good.

Many thanks... I will work on that tomorrow.
