I have found a fix for you. You can duplicate Product List addon and on the first addon, show only featured products which you want to be at the top. Then on the second addon, you can show all products.

This is a standard for all ecommerce out there, if you want to be in the game, listen to your inpatient customers.

Alas there's a serious lack of care and an even more serious lack of understanding from some of JoomShaper's staff. It is very difficult to get them to take problems seriously.

When simple requests like "re-ordering products" is not understood, you can see how properly technical issues become so hard to fix!

It's sad, as EasyStore could become a truly great product if supported and developed in the correct way!

Is there a workaround ? What is the default order for the products ? The products are always in the same order so it can't be random. Newest to oldest ? ID ? If I deleted all my products and created all new products and added them again to a collection could I get them in the order I want them ? If so, how ?

That is how to sort the products, not the order that the products appear on a page. In the example you used, I can show all the products "On Sale". How do I change the order of these "On Sale" products. What is the default order ? Is it date created ? Name ? What ?

We all want to be able to drag and drop the products so they display in the order selected on the backend to show in the frontend in the same order.

Please make that happen.

A lot us on another forum are already exploring other ecommerce products and will not renew if this isn't done on the next update. Do the math $499 x 25 people on the forum so far.

I have tested the current version product ordering. It works fine when selected auto in thr frontend filter. Please check this screencast:

Please let me know if you have any different requirements. I will talk to the development team to add your suggestion.

However, there is no option to select auto by default. It is always Best Selling pre-selected on the filter. I have asked the developer team to add an option to select the default sorting from the admin. For example, in the Filter addon sorting option, there will be an option to select Best Selling or Auto or any other sorting options available. The team has agreed and will implement this.

Please don't lose hope if it's not included in the immediate next update. The next update might include only bug fixes. But I have requested the team too add this feature as asked by many of you. Having said that, the team understands the development process better and estimated time required to add this. So, it's on their table to decide. I don't know on which version it will be added but it will be.
