J2store Migration Tool Not Working.

G'day, I have finally bitten the bullet to upgrade to EasyStore. However, after installing Easy Store and following the instructions to migrate from J2Store to Easy Store, I have found that the migration tool does not work.

I have the following: J2Store v. 4.0.5 Pro Joomla 4.4.5

I get the follow error when running the migration tool: Call to undefined method Joomla\Filesystem\File::getExtO

Can you please provide support to get the migrate tool working.

Provide me database (phpmyadmin) access via hidden content area. You database has duplicate content. That's why need to apply a query.

Hi Toufiq, Thanks, that worked. I have been playing with my products since.

A further question for you. When I attempt to import updates to my existing products (as the J2Store imported did not capture all of the product variants), I've noticed that the CSV importer is:

  1. Creating new products even though the root product already exists.
  2. Is not importing all of the new SKU codes allocated to the variatnts
  3. Does not recognise the primary product SKU code as a key identifier

Also,

  1. Is there a way to sort the main product listings by SKU? this helps find products more quickly than the product name.
  2. Is there a way for a base price for a product with variants to be displayed with a 'From' instead of $0

Hi Tourfiq,

I have downloaded the latest version of EasyStore v.1.2.3 which, as by your change log, you have fixed the import / export tool.

I regret to inform you that I can not get it work on my site. I downloaded an export and then attempted to add additional products - I need to import and add over 200 products and their numerous variations. To test the import function I only added approximately 40 items.

Upon import of the zip file, the import function spun for 10 seconds and then stopped. No additional images were to my instance of EasyStore. Could you please take a look at my Zip file to see if there are any issues with the import. (I would attach the file but there is no attachment tool)

Additionally, is the image path indicated in the import file, a direct path to the joomla image folder or a processing path for EasyStore. That is, my Joomla image path is images/easystore/{products} where as, the EasyStore import CSV lists it as media/{product}?

Ps. You indicated two week ago that JoomShaper had fixed the import / export tool for easystore but the EasyStore update was not released until the 10th Sept. Could I please ask that you are more accurate with your posts as there was a week's different between asking me to check for the latest download and the latest download being available. Between waiting for nearly three months for the issue to be corrected and the shortcomings many are discussing on this forum about the quality of the product being supplied, I am too being to question the EasyStore product.

File name should be (easystore_products.csv) & images missing on your media directory.

Download & try to import this zip file.

Downloaded and try import. Got:

Incorrect integer value: '' for column 'product_id' at row 1. CSV has no 'product id' only SKU.

Thanks for the update.

Since downloading the latest version of EasyStore, I am still finding that the import tool is not working as described. Each time I update my products, the import tool create a new version of the product. With 1000's of products to add, I do not have time to waste, trying to edit each product and each variation.

Can you please fix the import tool so it updates the product specfications and not create copy product.

Right now there is no function to replace of existing product. If you export your product & import your product then product will re-added with different alias.

Hi Toufiq,

That's quite disappointing. What's the point of an export / import tool if it doesn't allow you to bulk edit product features, specifications and prices.

Can you also explain the intent behind the following update in the change log?

Version 1.2.4 16 September 2024 Fixes

Incorrect media type assigned for gallery video files when saving a product as a copy.
Incorrect media type issue for image files during Import/Export resolved

Addressed duplicate product title and alias issue when importing the same product.

    Issue with component installation resolved.

Could you not just add the product's unique ID to the export and use that as guiding field to update exisiting products?
