SP Page Builder And Joomla 5.xx

Hi

I`m just checking if my Joomla 4.4.6 installation can be updatet to Joomla 5. So everything in the system is fine. Only one exception. The preinstallation check tells me that the "System-SP pagebuilder Plugin" and the "System-SP Pagebuilder Pro Updater Plugin" might be a problem and the update could fail. Are those plugins compatible with joomla 5 and can i update my system without running into trouble?

Ignore that warning if you have SPPB 5.x already.

Extra Tip!

Before Joomla upgrade (J4>J5) I suggest in Global Configuration:

  • System (tab) > Debug System : Yes
  • Server (tab) > Error Reporting: Maximum

That same you can set also inside configuration.php file just after.

This allows you to see possible error messages instead of blank page etc. In most cases problems after Joomla upgrade are old (installed by webmaster) plugin(s) not ready for J5.

Hi Paul

Thanks for the quick reply. I did what you suggested and also deactivated the Plugins, made the Update to J5 without trouble and i`m back in Business. So everything is fine.
