Hi all

when i need to update to joomla 4 the joomla notes me i should update my sp page builder form 3.8.10 to 5.3.2 and when i update the sp page my website stop working after this update and this even befor i update the joomla it self to joomla 4 .

in this case what should i do to update sp page builder and save my site from stop working?

Which Joomla version are you using now? The SPPB 5 should work in the Joomla 3.10 also as stated in the technical requirements here:

Moreover, SPPB 3.8.10 is compatible with Joomla 4, you will find this in the changelog

Yes, I did all the Plugins is updated expect the SP Page Builder Pro is now 3.8.10 and the joomla update ask me to update to 5.3.2 but when i make the update the my website in stop working even before make the joomla 4 update.

Would you please assure that you have the full site backup, including the database? I need to uninstall SPPB and then reinstall it.

If you have SPPB modules in use then they can be removed. But all other pages will be safe still.

I have tried to update the SP Page Builder Pro there, as I said, it needs to be uninstalled and then reinstalled again.

I don't have updated version of JCE. But you are using JCE extension in your site. You should have access to that component. Please download the latest version of JCE from it's provider, and update as any other extension.

Please note that, the extension short URL for content or JCE, none of them are our product. I just helped you to find out the root cause of those errors and done whatever was on my hand to do so far.

  2. Before update Joomla 3 to Joomla 4 or 5 make sure your all extension are up to date for the Joomla 4 or 5.
  3. Before update Joomla 4 or 5 install updated extension & template on your site.
  4. If you want to update Joomla 3 to 4 then keep PHP version 8.0
  5. After complete update Joomla 4 update PHP version 8.1 then update Joomla 5.

If you face any problem to doing update, Please let me know. Or provide me a Akeeba zip file. I will check it on my localhost.

If file size is 28GB, there is enough space in server And quota for the domain is also set to unlimited. Hence you will not face any issues

However, as the file size is huge that is 28 GB, it may take more time and sometimes it may cause some times temporary error

Keep a backup of your main site and delete your rood files. Then move staging directory files on root.

Dear we have succefully aplied the steps however the users are not working. we can not add user niether access

Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet. An error has occurred. 0 Call to undefined method Joomla\CMS\Application\AdministratorApplication::isAdmin()

When the site was moved to the root directory, the server couldn’t complete the transfer fully, which caused the issue. I have re-uploaded all the images—please check now.

The main issue was that the Page Builder wasn’t loading properly after the Joomla update. To resolve this, I updated Joomla and migrated your site to your hosting. I’ve put significant effort into fixing this. I would greatly appreciate it if you could leave a review on this platform.
