I am getting this error when I try and get the Instagram access token:
Invalid Scopes: instagram_basic, pages_show_list. This message is only shown to developers. Users of your app will ignore these permissions if present. Please read the documentation for valid permissions at: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/facebook-login/permissions

I watched the video and did the best I could, the problem is though FB seems to have changed things since your video was recorded. I am still getting the same response: Invalid Scopes...
I think it is to do with "Valid OAuth Redirect URIs" I added this but it does not work:
https://mydomain.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_sppagebuilder&task=instagram.accessToken
Here is the error message I am getting:
URL Blocked: This redirect failed because the redirect URI is not whitelisted in the app’s Client OAuth Settings. Make sure Client and Web OAuth Login are on and add all your app domains as Valid OAuth Redirect URIs.
After adding the domain in Valid OAuth Redirect URIs generate your access token again in the SP Page Builder configuration page.
As I stated I did try it and it still did not work.
I have tried getting this setup on my own FB Instagram accounts and it still fails. I have many hours invested in this now with no positive results. I sincerely believe the addon needs somekind of an update or the instructions need to be revised as something is not working as it should. Thanks for the help so far.
To check my settings I made use of a test Wordpress site. I was able to install the Smash Balloon plugin and have it working in a few minutes... I am not a fan of WP but if they can make it that easy, you guys should be able to do it also.
This process works for most users. I am not sure what is the issue on your end. Our developers are also concerned about this and we are planning an update on the next release. Thanks for your feedback.

We with our page have the same problem, having tried to solve it by repeating the described process again and again for months now nearly every week.
We nice people from the Palatinate area would love to be enabled to use the plugin so instagram makes a lot more sense for us.

For Safari browser users.
You need to allow popup windows for all URLs that use Instagram Access Token.
We have confirmed that if you don't allow it, the pop-up window will not appear and an error message will be displayed.
This is a setting to prevent the display of windows (pop-ups) such as ads that open automatically when you access a website, which is a surprising blind spot.
