Tax

As soon as I enter 21% VAT for Belgium (as tax via the European Union), the amount displayed on the single page includes VAT but does not indicate 'incl. Tax.' On the storefront, the price is shown without VAT, while on the single page, VAT is added to the price. At checkout, the price is displayed correctly without VAT, and once a country is selected, the taxes are added.

Hello Hans

Please go to this location:

components/com_easystore/src/Model

and replace ProductModel.php and ProductsModel.php files with the attached files. You need to unzip the files and then replace. The fix will also be included in our next release.

ProductModel.php.zip

ProductsModel.php.zip

Best regards

After updating to the latest version (1.4.2), the issue has worsened. As soon as I set Belgium 21%, all amounts are displayed as tax-inclusive without indicating this. This now appears both on the storefront and on the single product page. The products should be published without tax.

Please share your Tax settings page and issue page screenshots. I will check the issue on my end.

I want the amounts to be published without tax, and only when the desired country is selected at checkout should the tax be applied. I assume this is only possible by using the global tax settings: "Tax should be calculated & displayed in the checkout page"?

Yes, this is the settings. You have to select Tax should be calculated & displayed in the checkout page on the Global Tax settings.

Hi Ofi,

The setting is correct. However, the prices are always displayed including tax (without explicitly mentioning it) as soon as I select Belgium. Whether it’s 1%, 21%, or 50%, the price is always adjusted.

Once I remove Belgium, the issues are resolved. Feel free to test this yourself; the details are in the hidden content.

You can use this settings.

prnt.sc/7Awb2JAq3-bT

As your shop is located at Belgium. By default, it shows with Belgium tax set by you.

Thanks Ofi,

Is there a way to hide this and only show it on the checkout page?

Since we only sell to professionals, the tax should only be shown at the checkout.

In previous versions, this was always possible when we selected "tax should be calculated & displayed on the checkout page."

Hello Hans I’m experiencing the same issue with a store developed in Italian. I haven’t been able to get it to work correctly with or without taxes. I don’t know how many hours of work I’m wasting

Guys,

Thanks for your feedback on tax calculation matter. The developer team agrees with your point. They will re-check the tax calculation process. Then they might add an option whether you want to show tax as your shop location rates or not on the products page. But this update will take time as we have check the tax process again.
