I compress the picture, so I shouldn't do that correct? Is it ok to resize the images?

I resize using Photo Shop. I change the size to 900 pixels. Save as high resolustion. Any suggestions?

I'm resizing the orginal one. I've decided not to compress. I believe that this was one of my problems.
