I'm curious on how the Joomshaper blog page was created.

Was it made using SP Page Builder?

Some insights would be useful.

Hi Brad,

As I saw in source code, we used custom solution, we overriden Articles category blog view ( layout-blog ). Probably using an advanced news module, you can get a similar effect.

Or Possibly by editing the view I mentioned. It is about grid layout and additional CSS.

Thanks Paul, it's a clean and easy navigation. I'll figure it out.

Using the component view (even customized) is better, because you have more control over SEO (or more precisely, alias structure).

You're welcome.

Hi

Thanks for contacting us. Our blog page is typically created using a combination of Joomla core features and our extensions and templates. Our Designer and Developer totally customize it. We have used Joomla and SPPB. Here is a short overview of how you can create this type of blog page:

  1. Joomla Installation:

Install Joomla: The first step is to set up a Joomla CMS on your server.

  1. Template Installation:

JoomShaper Template: Install a JoomShaper template, which provides a ready-made design and layout for your site.

3:Use SP Page Builder for Custom Layouts:

You can use SP Page Builder for Custom Layouts

You can use SP Page Builder to create custom layouts for your blog page and individual articles. This allows you to add elements like sliders, carousels, and other dynamic content without coding.

  1. Styling and Customization: For Styling and further customization, you might add custom CSS or use Joomla's template override feature to tweak the appearance of your blog.

  2. Extensions for Additional Features: You can use other JoomShaper extensions as needed, such as SP Simple Portfolio for displaying portfolio items, SP Comments for adding a commenting system, etc.

  3. Content Management: You can add new articles, update existing ones, and manage categories to keep your blog fresh and engaging.

By leveraging Joomla's powerful content management features and JoomShaper's flexible templates and extensions, you can create a professional and dynamic blog page tailored to your needs.

-Regards.

Hi Mehtaz! Thanks for the instructions:

I´m stuck: If I use blog category for my blog menu item, then I can't insert page builder content (apparently the integration only works for articles). How do I customize my blog page?

Or am I supposed to select some other menu type for my blog page? If I select a page builder page for my blog page, how do I make it show my articles in summary mode and so on (little foto, intro text, several columns, recent articles on the side, etc)?

And how do I make all my blog pages have a column on the right for recent posts and design elements, etc, without changing each one manually (420 pages)? Is there like a "base area" where design changes apply to all my articles? Perhaps the template override that was talked about earlier would add a column to all articles?

https://www.joomshaper.com/blog/beautify-your-joomla-blog-posts-with-sp-page-builder

I also want to add a navigation that links to all my blog categories, like on the left here:

https://demo3.joomshaper.com/2024/maxora/index.php/blog/the-power-of-ai-in-modern-marketing

If you could point me to documentation where they explain how they create these things for each template I will read it, but I can't seem to find it.

Thanks!

Hi Paul! What´s component view please? I'm trying to figure out how to make a beautiful blog. I'm browsing through documentation of several of your templates but I can't find specific step by step instructions to replicate how the blog was built in the quickstarters.

Blog instructions for any template made with recent page builder would give me a lot of information to get started in the right direction.

As I wrote 3 days ago " Articles > Category Blog" view

it was created for internal purpose only.

Thanks Paul, but can you point me to any template that has any documentation about the blog section of that template?

Anything at all will do, specially if they explain how to replicate the quickstarter.

Nope, talk with local php/css developer he/she should help you customize its code.

Sorry, but my help ends here.

Paul, I hope nothing I said came across as rude because I wasn't being rude. I was sent here for technical advice from the livechat (yesterday).

I make sites for customers and I learn via documentation.

I just meant if someone that works for joomshaper can point me to the right joomshaper documentation, which I have searched for and cant efficiently find.

What I have done so far is access most recent template documentation in search for a section about their blog implementation. After a while I realized it is not something that is documented for each template so I'm asking if it has been documented at all and for a link please.
