Upgrade From Joomla 3 Websites

Hello,

I have a few older websites that are still running Joomla 3 + JSN (Joomlashine) templates and JSN PageBuilder.

I would like to move those websites to Joomla 4 and in the future to Joomla 5 (once all have been migrated to 4 so I can update my php version).

JSN that I used in the past doesn't exist anymore, and never made it to Joomla 4, so of course, I would like to move to JoomShaper Page Builder and templates.

What's the best way forward ? I was thinking about installing JS PageBuilder on my Joomla 3 website, slowly re-do all articles in JS PageBuilder, install my JS template on Joomla 3 (I usually use Dentro), and once I have everything up and running on Joomla 3, start disabling my old extensions and then migration to Joomla 4. Is that the right way forward, or is there a better option ?

Thanks Stéphane

Hi

Thanks for contacting us and sorry for your issue. You need customization for this. And I am sorry to say that, we do not provide customization support. You have to customize it yourself.

-Regards.

Hi Stéphane.

There is no migrator between JSN Page Builder and SP Page Builder. So it means that you have to rebuild those pages from the scratch. One by one. SPPB 5.x and Dentro template are fully compatible with Joomla 5.x.

About Template this seems to be the least of the problems, you just install a new one. And you correct the names of the module items to be similar to those used in the previous template. Or match the modules with other new positions that are in the Dentro template or another of ours.

The migration process is difficult to describe just like that (click here and here), especially as a forum response.

If you have the budget then you can hire someone to do this job for you.
