Publish Date is Not Enabled In Article Configuration

Hi,

I'm probably missing something. With the Articles add-on I don't get the publication date and instead get a message: "Publish date is not enabled in Article Configuration". However, in the article configuration it is set to show all dates.

Well, I can change approximately 50 menus/submenus (category blogs) if I want to hide the published date in the articles of these categories, leaving the published date visible only in one category (news), since the default option must be "show" for SP Page Builder to work.

To me, it makes more sense that if I activate "show date" in the SP Page Builder Articles add-on, the date is shown, and if I do not activate it, it is not shown. Simple.

But OK, if you think this is the best behavior, then let's consider this question resolved.

Hi,

I have checked the articles >> category blog menu and all the dates are enabled in options.

You have to turn it on on Article Options.

On the parent Category Blog menu item, date was hidden too.

I have enabled both. Please check the page now.

Ok, I see.

The problem is that I don´t want to show the date in ALL articles in the web, that is why I have "hide date" as default in Article Options. I want to show the date only in one category (Actualidad = News). I can do that without problem changing the default value in a given article or in the menu (category blog) options in "normal" joomla view.

It is weird that Sp PageBuilder looks only in Article options (for all articles) and not in the options of that particular category/article wich is presented with the add-on.

Do you think that there is any workaround?

In the Articles addon of SP Page Builder, you can hide the date.

But in the Article settings, you have to keep the dates shown. If it is hidden, then it can't be shown anywhere. So, think about your use case. In short words, keep dates shown on Global Article settings and then hide where you do not need them.

SP Page Builder just adds another control over the Article options. Simply, just set the date shown on article settings and hide or shown on the addon settings. If the answer resolved your query, you can mark it as accepted to help close the post and guide others with similar questions. There is a button to accept answers after each comment. Only you can accept answer for the post.
