SPPB 5.5.2 Still Displays Wrong 404 Page

As I reported previously for 5.5.1 (https://www.joomshaper.com/forum/question/37647), 5.5.2 STILL does not handle 404 errors properly when using a custom 404 page per the directions at https://www.joomshaper.com/blog/create-a-custom-joomla-404-page-with-sp-page-builder.

In 5.5.1, when I insert the code suggested to redirect to my custom error page at https://www.certifiedinfosec.com/index.php?option=com_sppagebuilder&view=page&id=107, it showed the dynamic content error previusly reported.

Now in 5.5.2, it no longer shows the dynamic content error. With no special error code inserted, it tries to show my 404 error page, but it shows the mobile version and desktop version both instead of properly handling it for responsive display . See https://www.certifiedinfosec.com/kjhg. This is what I was accusomted to seeing without the custom 404 page guidance from https://www.joomshaper.com/blog/create-a-custom-joomla-404-page-with-sp-page-builder.

If I add the error.php modification using SPPB 5.5.2, however, I no longer get the dynamic content error as with 5.5.1, but now get a hot mess of images and actual error coding displayed. What a mess. I took the custom page code back out of the error.php for now until this gets fixed.

Could you kindly grant me access to your Joomla administrator area so that I can investigate the issue you're experiencing? Prior to providing access, please ensure that you have backed up your site. Additionally, it's important to note that providing login credentials is entirely voluntary on your part; we respect your decision either way. However, if you do choose to share the login details, it would greatly expedite the resolution process. Thank you for your cooperation.

When you create the menu item. 404 menu item should be root.

It already is. The Custom 404 redirect was working beautifully prior to the SPPB update to 5.5.0, 5.5.1, and 5.5.2.

So, What's the point of view to create forum post?

You had recommended that I ensure the 404 page is in a hidden menu item off of root. I confirmed it already is.

I further explained that the redirection worked prior to SPPB 5.5.0, 5.5.1, and 5.5.2 so you would know that the issue only developed with SPPB 5.5.x, just as it did with so many others. The custom page redirect no longer works since you created SPPB 5.5.x, and this includes the lates SPPB 5.5.2.

This is the support forum to post issues when things don't work, correct? This is what I am doing. This is the purpose of my post. Per the post header above, "SPPB 5.5.2 Still Displays Wrong 404 Page." How can I help you understand the reason for my post in language any clearer than that?

You asked for this 10 hours ago. I provided credentials then. See https://www.joomshaper.com/forum/question/37818#qa-answer-18418.

I've already tested the credentials successfully. What new credentials do you need?

Thanks Toufiq! I checked the error.php file you changed, and see that you inserted the code in a different place than at the top of the file. You inserted it just below defined ('_JEXEC') or die();

I read the directions at https://www.joomshaper.com/blog/create-a-custom-joomla-404-page-with-sp-page-builder, and took the guidance, "Now, add the following code at the beginning of the file." without scrolling down to see the picture showing that it was near the top of the file.

Thanks again!
