Custom Icons No Longer Show On Frontend After Update To Joomla 5.3.0

After updating to joomla 5.3.0, custom icons from icomoon, are no longer visible in the frontend. The icons are still visible in the backend when editing the pages. Font awesome icons still work in both places.
Tested with different browsers and by restoring to previous version of Joomla (icons ok) and after upgrade problem appears.
