OpenGraph And Joomla Article

SP Page Builder 5 months ago

Hello, OpenGraph works perfectly when I create pages directly with SP-Page-Builder. But if I activate the article module and create articles normally in Jommla, but create them using SP-Page-Builder, then OpenGraph doesn't seem to work anymore.

  1. Is this normal and intended?
  2. Will there be a solution for this in the future? Or is that not technically possible?
  3. Or do I have to use a tool like JSitemapPro to add OpenGraph to my articles?

Best regards

Do you have any news about that ? I'm experiencing the same issue. Any target version for a correction ? Thanks

Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be a high priority or even on a list. The stupid thing about it is that no sharing buttons for Facebook, Twitter and the like work. In short, the fact that OpenGraph and Twittercards are not adopted for articles with SP Page Builder actually leaves many pages looking pretty stupid.

I have now taken the detour via the tool: “ ”TAGS Open Graph" from roosterz. The tool automatically adds the Open Graph and Twitter information after the first call of a page.

It pulls the data from a field that you can specify. For example: Title = Title Description = Meta Description Image = Full article Image

Now I don't have to do anything manually and it works. Even the share buttons of SP Page Builder work again. Of course you can also enter things manually.

Hope it helps. :) (No advertising)

As far as I can see, this is still not resolved... so yes, there are workarounds, but those involve installing other plugins for a functionnality that is supposed to be integrated into SP PageBuilder.

Thanks

I have asked the developer team to check this issue. It will be resolved in the future update.

If you fix the bug, maybe it would be great in the future if you could upgrade the function of Twittercard and OpenGraph.

I see tools that e.g. prefill the two things with Joomla fields like description or preview image.

Then you wouldn't always have to fill in the fields in SP Page Builder, but it would work automatically.

Just an idea, which would be great for Joomla Article. “TAGS Open Graph” from roosterz does this for example.
