This is a workaround that doesn't address the the issue. Why doesn't the login redirect work with the template and will you ever address this issue?

What are you expecting as a default behavior, please? Where it is not redirecting? I thought, you wanted to customize your login redirection link, that's why sent that tutorial.

The default behavior should be to redirect if a redirect link is set. There is no way to setup any settings for the login since there is no module to configure. The module should be exposed rather than hiding it in the html override folder and should be configurable without having to edit the override.

This is not an issue though. The framework is designed this way. However, I understand your point of view and will let our team know about it. If you do not want the default login then please use an custom one or follow the blog post for now.
