In general it depends on the line-height value of the footer area.

So here is sample code you need to put into the custom CSS:

#sp-footer{
    line-height: 1.6;
}

You can change the value as per your need!

Note: Path towards custom CSS: Extensions>Templates>Styles> Click on your current default template name then choose Template Options. Then find custom CSS within the custom code.
