maybe it was added in custom module by mistake or inside Template Options > Custom Code in wrong field, probably you add it in Before < / Body>, not in Custom CSS as should be .
Those are only two possible reasons. I am more than sure that is not Template issue.
And BTW, this is not HTML code, but CSS styles. And if you're really need to use it, it must be inside Custom CSS area, and only there.
