Incorrect Article Order With Helix Ultimate Masonry Blog Layout

I am using Helix Ultimate v2.2.1 on Joomla 6.0.0 with backwards compatibility plugin disabled and PHP 8.3.

This website has been upgraded from Joomla 5.

I have a Category Blog page set up as the home page with Article Order = Article Order, # Columns = 5 and Multi Column Direction = Across but the articles are not ordered correctly when I select the Masonry Layout in the Helix Ultimate Template Options.

If I change the Masonry layout to the Default layout in the Helix Ultimate Template Options, the articles are ordered correctly but the columns are reduced to 1 which is not what I want.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank-you.

Hello Neil Robertson,

Sorry for the inconvenience. I have informed the development team about this issue with the article order. I will update you as soon as I receive any information from them.

We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Best regards

I have now realised my custom CSS is to blame.

The Joomla Category Blog menu item allows a specific number of columns to be selected which works fine for a specific screen width e.g. 5 columns on a wider screen but I want to be able to display six columns on wider screens, 5 columns on fairly wide screens, 4 columns on medium width screens, three columns on tablets etc and 2 or 1 columns on narrower screens.

How can I achieve this using the Helix Ultimate masonry layout?

Thanks.
