You can hide article thumbnails by going to Articles Addon → Settings → Hide Thumbnail and enabling it. This will hide the thumbnail image.

Thanks Ziaul. This is the oppisite what I want to do. I would like just to have the thumbnails and not the pictures of an article itsself. When you take a look at the startpage, second row, at the right: There is an article with a photo set as blog media and the same photo in the article.
