Hello -

I am building a website with Wimble which is listed as Joomla 6 compatible. Before upgrading from J 5.4 to J 6, Joomla instructs to turn off the "Behaviour - Backward Compatibiity" plugin and see what happens.

I do that and my site does not load. After turning on Debug, Joomla gives the following error regarding Wimble:

Symfony\Component\ErrorHandler\Error\ ClassNotFoundError in /home1/aqkdtmte/publichtml/templates/wimble/error.php (line 18)

Attempted to load class "JFactory" from the global namespace. Did you forget a "use" statement?

Error

Class "JText" not found

I don't find any discussions here in the forum. Can you please assist with troubleshooting this error?

Thank you.

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to us. Could you please share temporary administrator access to your Joomla backend? You can provide the credentials securely in the hidden content section. Also, please take a full backup of your site before we make any changes.

Once I have access, I’ll investigate further and see what’s causing the issue. Let me know once you’ve shared the details!

Best regards,

Hello Bob,

You have installed the Joomla 6–compatible version of the Wimble template along with the latest version of SP Page Builder. If you disable the Behaviour – Backward Compatibility plugin, this message may appear on the frontend.

For safety, please create a complete backup of your site and then proceed with the Joomla 6 upgrade. There is no need to disable this plugin—simply ignore the warning related to it. Alternatively, you may disable the plugin, ignore the frontend error during the upgrade process, and then re-enable the plugin once the upgrade is complete.

We hope you will not face any issues.

Best regards,
