Hi

Thanks for contacting us. Please follow this link steo by step, it will help you.

https://www.joomshaper.com/blog/how-to-create-a-multilingual-site-in-joomla-4-using-helix-ultimate

Make sure you have enabled both of this plugins( see in the hidden content below).

Key Troubleshooting Steps:

  • Set Home Pages: Each language must have a designated "Home" menu item (flag icon visible in the Menu Manager).

  • Enable Plugins: Go to Extensions > Plugins, search for "System - Language" and enable both Language Filter and Language Code.

  • Module Settings: In the Language Switcher module, ensure "Use Flags For Dropdown" is set to Yes.

  • Check Content: Verify that you have assigned articles/menus to specific languages, not just "All".

  • Clear Cache: Clear both Joomla and browser cache to reflect changes.

-Regards.

Thank you very much. I managed to follow the instructions, but have a strange behaviour. The not language specific Main Menu is still pulled, although it is disabled, like the instructions say. For each language, I made a Home menu item. I don't know, what my mistake is ...

It is defined as "Default". If I want to remove this, I get an error.

I may help you, but need to check points in your administration. I'm used to such problem. Please send credentials hidden and will check in the next 10 min.

Hi,

Is this solved now? I can see the flag on your home page.

No, it is not. I have the situation that I have an English default page a German default page and an default page, which is not assigned to a specific language. But the one, which is not assigend to a specific language, is the one, which is taken. If I try to delete or to unassign it, I get an error message that the default page cannot be deleted.

I surely make a mistake, but I don't understand, what it is.

I would love to. Please don't be mad at me that I don't do this right away. I have to perform this on another site as well and if everything works fine, I will do. If I mess it up, I would ask you for help.

Solved it. For all, who have the same problem: It was my missing link to assign the language menu in the Helix template for eahc language separately.
