Regarding production sites:
You should enable SCSS Compile while developing or making design changes, as this ensures your style changes are compiled and reflected correctly.
Once your site is finalized and live, we recommend disabling SCSS Compile for production. This improves performance and avoids unnecessary recompilation on page loads.
In short:
- Development / testing: SCSS Compile = ON
- Live / production site: SCSS Compile = OFF
After turning it off on a live site, make sure the styles are already compiled and clear the cache to ensure everything displays correctly.
If you need to make future style changes, you can temporarily enable SCSS Compile again, then disable it once the changes are finalized.
