Podcast Template - New Podcast EP

Hi there,

I've been working my way through the SPPB and am a little confused. How can I insert a new article with a podcast, for example under the posts? There's something I don't understand yet.

And how can I change the template used in the SPPB, as I don't need the takeaways, for example? What am I overlooking? I assumed that the data was either in SPPB or under Content - Posts. But when I change text with the Joomla editor, I get completely different fonts and the design is ruined...

Confused

Hi,

We apologize for the delayed response due to the recent national election holiday. Thank you for your patience, and we’re glad to hear the previous guidance was helpful. Please find the answers to your questions below:

Issue 1 & 2

To remove the “abgelaufen” label and adjust the spacing/white row, please add the following CSS to: Template Options → Custom Code → Custom CSS

.article-header span.label.label-warning {
    display: none;
}

#sp-main-body {
    padding: 100px 0px 0px 0px;
}

This will hide the expired label and adjust the top padding of the main content area.

Issue 3

Unfortunately, it is not possible to back button as SP Page Builder don't have a back button addon.

Issue 4

The Next/Previous navigation buttons are generated by a Joomla plugin called Content – Page Navigation. You can manage or disable this plugin from the Joomla Plugin Manager.

The text you are seeing is coming from the template settings. Please navigate to: Template Settings → Blog → Details There you will find the option to change the related text. Reference: https://prnt.sc/iZC4h2v1A5hJ

Social Sharing Icons (Mobile vs Desktop)

The social media icons visible on mobile but not on desktop are controlled via the template blog settings. To disable them completely:

Go to: Template Settings → Blog → Details and disable the social sharing option. Reference: https://prnt.sc/oiGxd8wdRs4q

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out, and apologies for the confusion this has caused.

For adding new posts (such as a podcast entry under Posts), please create and manage the content directly in Joomla → Content → Articles. The Posts section pulls its data from Joomla articles, not from SP Page Builder.

The detail page (single view) of each article is created and managed using SP Page Builder. To better understand how SP Page Builder integrates with Joomla articles and how the article detail layout works, please refer to the following documentation: https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/sp-page-builder/integrations

This separation between content (Joomla Articles) and layout (SP Page Builder) ensures consistent styling across your site.

Best regards

Hello, thank you for your quick response.

My idea was to create an article under Posts (as you described, so far so good). When I then switch to SPPB as an editor, I thought I would select a template from SPPB (frontend) and edit the text, graphics, etc. accordingly . However, the elements are empty here. I cant select a template

My plan is to create pages like https://www.joomshaper.com/joomla-templates/podcast...

Where am I going wrong?

PS: Another question: why are the new lines that you insert always centered and never 100% aligned to the page? I would like to be able to place elements much more freely (see image).

Thank you for your detailed explanation.

There is nothing wrong or unexpected in this behavior. When you create a new article and open it with SP Page Builder, the page starts empty by design. SP Page Builder does not automatically apply a predefined frontend template to new articles.

If you would like to use the same layout as one of your existing articles, you can export the layout from that page and then import it into your new article. This allows you to reuse the same structure and design and then adjust the text, media, and other elements as needed.

For step-by-step guidance on exporting and importing SP Page Builder layouts, please refer to the following documentation: https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/sp-page-builder/export-import-and-save-for-later-use

Hi,

thx again for the very fast feedback...

But that also means that I have to change all articles created in this way when changes are made, and that they are not updated dynamically...?!

Hi,

Yes, that is correct. Pages created with SP Page Builder are static in terms of layout. If you reuse a layout by exporting and importing it into multiple articles, any future design changes made to one page will not be applied automatically to the others. Each page remains independent and would need to be updated manually.

Hi,

that was helpful!!!

Hopefully here are the final Question(s) after 14 hours of working it out... ;)

Image 1 in hidden Content As you can see in the image, where can I edit this Text (second arrow) and how can I get rid of this "abgelaufen" (first arrow) sign?

Image 2 in hidden Content How to get rid of this white row? Cant edit it in SPPB or overwrites also doesent effect this section?

Image 3 in hidden Content I knew how to add text and items etc. at point 2, but how can I add things - like a back button for example - at point 1.?

Image 4 in hidden Content I also cant edit these elements (see arrows), where did they come from??? They are not in the template as aspected... - The last element in the SPPB (to export the template) is a textblock not a button, not an image, not a recommendation...??? *confused again ;)

And finally: In the mobile view, social media icons are visible in "articles", but not in the desktop view. How can I remove them completely? Ijn the mobile view there is a cart but no navigation present? How can i solve this?

Best regards!

Hi,

I have one more question in this regard that came up while I was working.

How can I change the featured images in the BlogMedia view (see hidden content) so that a folder 2026 is not automatically created with the date as a subfolder? I would like to be able to select the image myself from an existing folder on the server. Not from the hard drive, which would then create the folder structure 2026>02>19>img.jpg on the server.

Another aspect concerns the mobile view. Here, I see a logo that is much too small in the top left corner, and the cart is displayed in the top right corner. But the navigation is not displayed at all? - How to solve this all?

Thank you.

BTW: Voting is out ;)

Hi,

Thank you for your message.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.

Regarding the featured images in the BlogMedia view, unfortunately, it is not possible to select images directly from an existing folder within the Media Manager. The system requires the image to be uploaded through the designated field each time. During the upload process, the template automatically applies the necessary adjustments (such as resizing and optimization) based on its configuration. These processing steps cannot be applied when selecting an already existing file from the server directory, which is why the date-based folder structure (e.g., 2026/02/19/) is automatically generated.

Hello,

I think I spent too long working on the site and deleted the wrong images when cleaning up the images in the folders. :( - see hidden content :(

Now I'm missing images from the pre-made ones in both the backend and the frontend. How can I get them back?

Thanks and best regards

Hi there,

done without any effects...? What's a little strange is that it works on the home page but not on the article pages, where it is displayed incorrectly with the corresponding gaps????

Hello,

The first URL shows the front page, where everything is fine and the images are displayed. The second URL is an article page with the problems... Black box backgrounds at play-buttons etc.

The third URL shows two buttons at the bottom, and I have no idea where they come from. How can I remove them?

I would like to remove the shopping cart icon in the mobile view. How can I do that?

And finally, once again: Is it possible to change the output of the (awful) search field?

Best regards
