Hello,
I am currently building a recruitment website for a client using core Joomla articles combined with custom fields. The goal is for the client to easily publish job vacancies by simply creating a Joomla article and filling in predefined custom fields such as:
- Salary
- Employment type
- Location
For the layout and styling, I would like to use SP Page Builder Pro’s Dynamic Articles feature (both the index page and the single article page).
The issue I am facing:
In the Dynamic Article index and Dynamic Article page, I can select standard Joomla elements such as intro text, full text, publish date, etc. However, I cannot find any option to select or display Joomla custom fields.
What I need:
I want to display these custom fields (salary, employment type, location) inside the Dynamic Article layout and be able to style them properly (background color, custom colors, font size, padding, spacing, etc.).
What I have tried:
- Installed Advanced Custom Fields (Tassos)
- Used shortcodes inside the article content
Using shortcodes does allow me to output the custom fields, but they are rendered as plain text within the article body. This prevents me from properly styling them as structured elements within the Dynamic Article layout.
I also experimented with Dynamic Content, but this approach is too complex for the client. The intention is to keep everything based on core Joomla articles and custom fields, so the client workflow remains simple.
My question:
Is the use of Joomla custom fields not supported within SP Page Builder Pro Dynamic Articles?
If it is supported, could you explain how custom fields can be selected and styled inside the Dynamic Article index and single article layout?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Kind regards,
Remco
