I Need To Update Helix Ultimate 1.3 To 1.4, But The Update Fails.

Helix Framework 4 years ago

Just tried to update again today from 1.3 to 1.4. The update fails with error:

Failed to extract file: index.php

I tried to download and manually install. Fails with warning:

Warning
Copy file failed

Message
Installation of the plugin was successful.

When I go to Template Options for Helix Ultimate, I see version 1.3.

Version 1.4 is not installing.

I ran Akeebe Permissions Fix and DB Optimization too. Still fails.

PageBuilder pro updated with no problem, so permissions must really be okay.

Other remediation attempted:

  1. I downloaded unzipped the Helix Ultimate quickstart package.
  2. I FTP'ed all files and folders from helixultimate_quickstart_j3_v1.1.4\templates\shaper_helixultimate to /templates/shaper_helixultimate.
  3. I cleared joomla cache and joomla update cache.

Joomla still says I need to update:

  • shaper_helixultimate
  • System - Helix Ultimate Framework

I opened Helix Ultimate options to see the version number at the bottom. It's still 1.1.3.

How can I update when even a manual file copy does not seem to work? I've been struggling with this for a week, which is really frustrating when all other extensions are updating and installing with no problems.

Allen please do not duplicate topics.

I fixed your version problem already, it was caused by Joomla cache as last time.

You're welcome.

Have a nice day.

Hello Allen,

I am sorry to ask but did you try to download the Quickstart pack of version 1.4?

Hello Paul,

Thanks for your help.

Fixed.Version number updated. I done it in table "pnrwp_extensions" - "manifest_cache" as you see wrong number was only in Joomla extensions manifest cache.

What did I do to cause this issue? I want to avoid creating support tickets as much as possible ;-).

As for the second posting, my previous post was languishing for a week despite repeated bumps. I truly appreciate the assistance and wish you well.
