We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you're experiencing after upgrading to EasyStore v1.8.0. We’ve tested this behavior on our end, but unfortunately, we were unable to reproduce the issue with category-based product display.
Since the problem appears to be specific to certain categories and persists across both your live and local environments, it would be very helpful if you could share a backup of your site (or a copy of the affected database and files). This will allow us to thoroughly investigate the root cause and identify whether it’s related to specific data, configuration, or a potential edge-case bug in the latest version.
We appreciate your temporary workaround of reverting to v1.7.7, and we’ll do our best to assist you in resolving this as quickly as possible.
