SP Page Builder 1 month ago

Hi, I'm migrating an existing wbsite to helix framwork and SP Builder In my website images were stored in a custom folder, correctly setvia the joomla media settings Now if I set a different image path as required by the SP media manager, in joomla editor I will lose access to the old images How do you suggest to manage this situation?

(well, of course the "correct" solution would be SP using the joomla media settings....)

I have taken a folder named photos in the root directory. Then on the SP Page Builder media manager, I have gone to folders and selected photos folder. It works fine.

Hello Alberto Pastorelli,

Thank you for reaching out to our technical support forum. I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re experiencing. Rest assured, I will look into this issue for you and work to resolve it as quickly as possible.

If you could kindly provide any additional information regarding the issue, it would greatly help me investigate and address it more efficiently. Please provide the correct location of your folder. Is it on your root folder or under images folder? Generally, this should not be an issue. Folders are accessible from SP Page Builder media manager if set in Media configuration.

Best regards

I'm referring to SP documentation here: https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/sp-page-builder/media-manager

Image folder has to be set to "images" in Joomla's Global Configuration > Media.

BUT I'm restyling a website where this joomla images path was set to a different custom folder, and it contains dozens of image used in articles that will still be displayed on the website

By changing the root images folder as requestede by SP, site editors now can't manage images previously uploaded and organized under a different path

  1. Why can't SP just use any folder set in joomla configuration?
  2. How do I deal now with old images? Please provide a solution to either use the original custom path (which would be the correct solution being compliant con jooml'as options), or to move the old images under the folder required by SP
