Captions For Images Within A Slideshow

Hi ALl,
I am using the slideshow element on a couple of pages within my site but would like to add a "Caption" to each of the images used. I see there is a setting for which column I would like the caption to appear (?) but no option to add a caption!?
what am I missing?

No not a screen shot... I simple want to display a caption (a title) for each of the images in the slideshow when shown.
i am using the slideshow option (not the carousel) but there seems to be no way of entering a caption, despite the being an option of where to display the caption! (i.e. which column)?
