Error After Installing SP Page Builder Pro

SP Page Builder 1 week ago

Hello,

I am doing a clean Installation after my websites were hacked through the com_sppagebuilder as a lot had already reported.

So, after installing the SP Page Builder Pro everything went successfully but when I clicked on the Components->SP Page Builder Pro, then came an error “Request failed with status code 500” then I tried to uninstall and reinstall but when I clicked on the System->Manage-> Extensions, there at the top of the extensions is an error “COM_INSTALLERTYPE”.

So, I went ahead and uninstalled and installed the SP Page Builder Pro again and again and any installation I made appeared another “COM_INSTALLERTYPE”.

So, what is happening here?

How can I resolve this problem?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Thanks so much for your prompt support.

The errors are no more there and everything seem to be working now fine. The SP Page Builder Pro works fine as it's supposed to and I highly appreciate your kind support.

But I shall be so much grateful if you would kindly explain to me what went wrong or what I did wrong that triger the error in order to avoid it in the future.

Thanks once again.

Best Regards.

Hello,

You're most welcome! I'm glad to hear that everything is working properly now and that SP Page Builder Pro is functioning as expected.

Regarding the cause of the issue, I enabled the Behaviour - Backward Compatibility 6 plugin on your site, which resolved the problem. The issue occurred because some extensions or code on your website still rely on backward compatibility features that this plugin provides. When the plugin is disabled, those legacy functions are no longer available, which can lead to errors like the ones you experienced.

To help avoid similar issues in the future, we recommend keeping the Behaviour - Backward Compatibility 6 plugin enabled.

If you have any further questions or need any additional assistance, please don't hesitate to let us know.

Best regards

Hello,

Thanks so much for the clearance.

I was a little careless because I read that in the Joomla documentation but I thaought that as I was doing a clean site creation I don't have to pay attention about the Behaviour - Backward Compatibility 6 setting.

Thanks a lot for pointing it out to me and for others who might also overlooked that.

I appreciate your wonderful support.

Best Regards.
