The new update would it make it easier to copy index and detail pages from dynamic content.

I am developping a site in Dutch, German, French, English and Spanish, and the latter one I am working on now, and that's where there are problems right now, what I found;

You could copy an index page quite easily from one language (Dutch) to Spanish by going into the ducth page design, and change the language into Spanish. It indeed copies, but to Spanish and all languages. So just chaning a language also causes the page being copied, which than you will have to remove from all

Furthermore, In the index page I make a referral to the index page, but since the update you cannot select a dynamic page to refer to, only the normal pages. So I am stuck at the moment

I can make screen shots if you want me to

Hi Bert,

Thank you for the detailed explanation.

Regarding the Dynamic Content linking issue, there should be a separate All Languages page for the Dynamic Content index/detail page. This page is created by default when the page is initially created.

It looks like the All Languages page was manually deleted, which is why it is no longer available when you try to select the Dynamic Content page for the link.

For the multilingual functionality to work correctly, the All Languages page needs to be present, and it should contain the same content as the primary language page. This is important because if the language-specific page is missing, the All Languages page is used so that the Dynamic Content data can still be displayed correctly.

This behavior was designed intentionally so that existing Dynamic Content links would not break when working with multiple languages.

Please recreate the All Languages page with the same content as the primary language page, and then check the Dynamic Content linking again.

Best regards,

Thanks for your swift reply, and indeed when the page is in the all language, i can make a referal to it. I'll try reading the instructions again, feel that the multilingual option would save me more time if applied correct, but I am not there yet.

I have the same products, for which I have made Dynamic Content for each languega, meaning that if I want to add another product to the dynamic contact for one product, I have to do it 5 times, whilst the majority of the data is the same, and can be used in all 5 languages I am developping.

So, a long way to go for me.
