Cannot Change Presets HelixUltimate Template - Question | JoomShaper

Cannot Change Presets HelixUltimate Template

Template 4 years ago

Hi,

I cannot change the presets in my HelixUltimate template. In the backend, it seems that my changes are saved but when I leve the HelixUltimate panels and return later, I see the old settings again. I do not see any changes in the frontend either. I checked for caching issues but I cannot find a solution in that area.

This issue seems similar to this topic: https://www.joomshaper.com/forum/question/11#qa-answer-22587

I'm using Helix Ultimate Framework 1.1.4, SP PageBuilder 3.7.12.

Hope that you can helpe to solve this,

Kind regards, Frits

Hello there,

Without the administrator access, we cannot dive deeper into the problem as at our end, it is working fine in the framework. Please share the credentials with us in the Hidden Content area.

Thanks!

Hi there,

Thank you for sharing your credential with me. I have checked your site and there is no element of Helix Ultimate visible front end. If you wanna see the changes you need to keep helix ultimate element elements in your site front end. e.g Header, Footer, top area etc. Thanks

Hi Toufiq,

Thanks for your reply.

It may be correct that no elements are visible in the front end as yet; someone from my team is working on this site and I do not know the eaxct status.

However, when changing the template preset settings in the back end it looks like your changes are saved, but when you return to these settings later you'll see the old values. I suppose that this should not happen, reagarless if the template is already visible in the frontend or not?

Kind regards,

Frits

Hi Toufiq,

I've added a link to the screencast in the hidden content.

You can see that I change a Background color from #252525 to a different value, then I save and quite the template settings area. When returning, the value is #252525 again.

Kind regards, Frits

Hi Toufiq,

I can confirm that the change that you made is visble for me indeed. However, I cannot find how to replicate this myself. I changed the setting again and I tried cleaning up the caching using System > Clear cache and System > Clear Expired Cache.

This had no results. In which way / on which level did you clear the cache?

Hi,

We can confirm that a cache issue was keeping us from seeing our changes being saved in the backend.

However, even then, we did not see the results of our settings reflected in the frontend.

As we realized that the site has gone through some changes over the years, we've created a new, clean develop site from scratch and copied the SP PageBuilder content to this site. Also I created a dummy page using a Joomla core article and the HelixUltimate templage, so we can view the template without SPPB content. See hidden content for the url of this page and of the new develop site.

On this new site we still have the same issue. On the dummy page you can see that the body background is white, though in the settings we selected a dark color (#141328).

I created an account with the same details as I did for the live site. I repeated those in the hidden content, in case you want to check.

Kind regards, Frits

Hi there,

I think your hosting caches reason occurred the problem. I have downloaded akeeba backup and checked on my localhost. It works fine.

Hi Toufiq,

You are right. I was surprised because I thought that I disabled all chaching. Yet on Siteground some caching (or rather the fact that it is enabled by default) is a bit hidden - in my opinion.

Anyway, this solves all issues. Thanks for your help,

Frits
