SP PB 4 Alfa 1

Hi guys. SP PB 4 looks impressive. Great job!

My feedback: The editor is too narrow. It would be great if it could be increased and would be full mode. In addition, it seems to me that the fixed position would be better for this. Same for HTML editor. When you hover on the section there is no highlighting the upper border, which is not very convenient. When adding a new section, there are no custom columns settings. Now it is not possible to create multi linear structures. Also, these settings are generally not in the already placed section. The windows are not adapted to the height of the monitor. Now you can work comfortably only on a large monitor. On a small monitor it will be abroad visibility. Positioning settings are absolutely not suitable for use. Instead, we have to use CSS. Must be top, right, bottom, left settings, but not X Y.

Also, there are a number of bugs. But I think this is the cost of alpha version and there is no point in listed now.

And separate attention requires div addon. At first glance, Flex is an excellent option. But it requires additional options for children. If we set up the properties of the parent in the visual interface, then to configure the properties of children, we still need to move to CSS coding. In this aspect, user experience will be extremely uncommon. Because of this, experienced users will not use this option and everything will do in CSS. Not experienced users will overload support with questions. I think it should be removed at all, or add options for children.

And one more moment. Refusal of the backend interface is a very risky step. If the frontend interface does not work because of the conflict with third-party extensions, the user will not work at all in SP PB. You cannot test Sp PB with all the world extensions. Therefore, there must be a backend interface as a spare way to edit.

Hi Pavel,

The makers said they won't be backend. Actually the best SP backend is my opinion of course :) Even when I tried WP elementor I said too bad. SP backend work is nicer. But it is necessary to keep up with the new system.

ABout :

You have to use Column addon, then you can add new columns into current row, so you can have also 5 columns. I agree it's little bit confusing, but works pretty well if you know it.

Big Thank you for the rest.

Hi Paul. I understood how Column Addon works. But I mean columns in multi lines. This is a very important option that is used constantly and allows us to prevent a bunch of not needed code and excessive nesting. Or Or All this not posible in PB 4.

Row Addon is not suitable for this. This is the same as Inner Row now in PB 3. And by the way, this addon has the same problems as Inner Row and even worse. It is not possible to move at all after you place it on canvas.
