Hello. I would like to add 2 fonts (League Gothic and Glacial indifference) to my website with HOPE template. I get my API key from Google.
But when I clic on the button ONE CLICK UPDATE I have this error messe : "Requests from referer are blocked". How to fix this issue.

If I may ... this kind of errors can be caused by:
- Problems with .htaccess file. Delete current one, go to cPanel and set PHP version again.
- Hacker/Spamer attack that could damage Joomla files
- Server configuration problems

If you want to use custom fonts (not Google Fonts), you can handle this much easier.
There’s a small extension that lets you upload and manage your own fonts directly — no API needed and no external requests.
It works with Helix Ultimate and Helix3, including variable fonts.

Hi everyone,
I haven't been able to get the Glacial Indifference font to work as the body font on my website. I followed the instructions provided in the forum, but I still can't get it to work.
What’s strange is that when I added the Glacial Indifference font using the font converter tool, it became active and displays correctly in Google Chrome, but it does not appear in Safari, Microsoft Edge, or Firefox.
Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I would really appreciate some help.
I've attached a few screenshots of my website to illustrate the problem.

Hi ALOVO,
looking at your screenshots, the issue is clear: the .woff file is registered in your CSS but cannot be loaded from the server ("Failed to load data"). https://prnt.sc/B_jE1CY9BvUl
Since Chrome supports .woff2 natively and uses it as the primary format, it works there - but other browsers fall back to .woff, which is missing or inaccessible.
My recommendation: don't use both formats. Just pick .woff2 - it's supported by all modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and is the better format anyway (smaller file size, better compression).
Make sure your @font-face rule looks like this:
@font-face {
font-family: 'Glacial Indifference';
src: url('your-path/glacial-indifference-regular-webfont.woff2') format('woff2');
font-weight: normal;
font-style: normal;
}Then verify via FTP or your file manager that the .woff2 file is actually present at that exact path on your server.
Alternatively, consider using the OD Local Fonts Extension - this saves you the CSS editing entirely and lets you manage your custom fonts directly within the Helix settings. Much more convenient! 😊

I just tested it myself and it’s working smoothly. Joomla 5.4.6 and PHP 8.4.
What version of PHP are you using?
(I just hope JoomShaper doesn’t get mad at me for helping you here on ODLF - or you could just create an account on my website ;) )

Hi Alovo,
Your current setup is running PHP 8.2, which is already past its active support phase and will stop receiving security updates at the end of 2026.
For new Joomla installations, it is strongly recommended to upgrade to a modern PHP version. ODLF is built and tested for current environments and works best with PHP 8.4.
Please upgrade your PHP version to ensure compatibility, security, and long-term stability of your project.
Your Hope template is fully compatible with Joomla 6 and PHP 8.4 - you should really consider updating it, especially for security reasons.
