It's becuase images names are stored also in database. Yes, rescan button could help, I will ask about it.

Probably Media Manager will be changed but in SPPB 4.x.

Hi, becuase this is not typical File Manager like Phoca Commander component or Joomla Media OR File manager from JCE or FTP tool or File Manager from cPanel.

OK, Pavel, I did not know that J4 and SPB share the same folders.

That helps. Thank you !

I would really, really appreciate if the developers could make the file selection page (in SPB) with endless scrolling or at least allow to disable the MORE button. IT IS SUPER ANNOYING. I can fit only around 20 pictures on one screen.... so browsing thourgh 100 pics to pick one becomes a nightmare

Just take a look at JCE Editor how this is done....

Just take a look at JCE Editor how this is done....

Just before any actions in SP Media Manager, press Browse Folders and you will get access to the same structure as in JCE.

The window in which you see the More button is designed for quickly access to the last uploaded files. It is very convenient and do not need to change anything there. In this aspect, SP Media Manager has an additional option that is not in JCE.

The only thing that I suggest for developers to make is to replace in this window the Upload Files button link to the folder structure instead of the file uploading action. It is this button that is misleading and uploads files to the wrong folders based on the date.

You just need to get used to and understand the logic of the work. After that you make sure that everything is fine.

Yes I noticed that, but another wired thing is that when I import J4 site from another J4 site (to speed up the process of building new site) and I open images through SPB, I see bunch of placeholders (but no pictures. I am not able to remove them. It seems that this shows up when the physical files are missing. there shoudl be however a procedure (or BUTTON) to re-scan existing folders. It also drives me nuts that I cannot decrease the size of those thumnails on the list, and scrolling and searching for images really sucks. I can deal with deletions, uploads etc throguh standard J4 media manager but selecting and browsing through the files is essential and It is really bad.

Why not allow instead use standard Joomla Media Explorer and pick the there ?
