Offcanvas Icon Issues In Newsberg Template

Hi,

Our client reports offcanvas icon issues on a site.

  • the icon does not show on a smartphone in portrait mode
  • the icon appears in landscape mode, but does not respond when clicked

I can't tell since when these issues occured. But before I know for sure this worked just fine.

I will share credentials in the Hidden Content box.

Please uninstall the latest System - Helix3 Framework plugin and install Helix3 2.5.8 plugin. I have attached it below.

plg_system_helix3_2.5.8.zip

Do not update it till the newskit template update. Hopefully, it will solve your issue.

Ok I have removed the /administrator directory password protection.

So you now see the Joomla login screen when you click the URL I gave you.

Hello Ofi,

I have lost you...

  • I checked at the hosting side cPanel for password protected directories. There are none.
  • I checked Admin Tools for password protected administrator settings. There is none.
  • I checked the /administrator folder for .htpassword. It is not there.

I pasted the Joomla administrator URL (I shared before) in 3 different browsers to see if a .htpassword popup appears. It does not.

So... my gues is that you are looking at some cache issue here. It has to be on your side. Please note that you have logged in on this website before to help, on 2021-08-17 09:17:52.

I don't know why but first security credentials does not work. I have tried VPN too. Even my team have also checked but nobody can't access. I am not sure what I can do in this matter.

Sincere apology for the unwanted delay. I have tried to install your backup several times. It gets installed but I cannot access in the frontend or backend. I am getting the following error

Error: The redis Cache Storage is not supported on this platform.: The redis Cache Storage is not supported on this platform.

I have also compared the items with Newsberg quickstart. Your site has less items than the quickstart. Please check that you have taken a full site backup and it is installable. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I gave you a full website backup; only the /cache and /tmp folders were not included. I have never deleted any template files.

Please first try to disable the cache as I suggested in my former reply.

Ok... That's not what I was hoping to hear...

We switched back to Helix3 2.5.8 plugin on your advice. Can you tell me if Helix3 2.5.8 plugin is PHP 8 or even 8.1 compatible? And what about the latest Newsberg template?

We have to switch from 7.4.x soon...
