Slideshow Text Background Color

I am having trouble figuring oit how to place text in a colored box. One of the premade slideshopws has this. I did take alook at it but was unable to find where the title box background and padding is located.
There is no mention of this feature in the SPPB documentation.
I've added that slideshow to the homepage to compare with the one I am working one

However, the main slideshow addon has title background color setting within the item edit window. The following screenshots may help:
