Edit SP Page Builder 3 Pages With SP Page Builder 4

Hello,

thanks for the new Page Builder. I am a big admirer of Page Builder.

Just some very important questions:

  1. Is it correct that with Page Builder 4 I can not edit any pages built with Page Builder 3?

  2. That would mean I have to rebuild everything I built with Page Builder 3 manually?

  3. No at least exporting old Page Builder 3 layouts and importing them to Page Builder 4 Pages?

  4. Same for Page Builder 3 Modules?

  5. If this ist so can I have Page Builder 3 and Page Builder 4 installed on the same Joomla installation to make the transition smoothly over time?

  6. Are you planning anything to make the switch more practical?

Looking forward to your answers, because these are essential.

Hello there,

Thanks for contacting us. You can edit the pages with sp page builder 4 which are mady by sp page builder 3 . You will lost nothing.

You can't use both sp page builder 3 and 4 on same installation.

Please do not use SP Page Builder 4 directly on production sites for safety reasons. First, test it on a staging site. You can create a staging site by following this instruction: https://www.joomshaper.com/forum/question/16053

Thanks for the info I was just not sure because on your documentation page it says:

"Notice! SP Page Builder can be used to edit content built using that extension. It cannot edit layouts made before, based on components, modules, or custom HTML structures. SPPB can be used also to edit Joomla Core articles, read more in the Integrations section."
