It doesn't matter if your site is new or has content the editor dies when it comes to accessing Joomla's native image folder.

IMPORTANT: This test was done in Joomla 4.2.0 but also in J 3.10.10, Joomla 4.0, and Joomla 4.1 with the same results, the editor dies when trying to select or change image

I followed your steps. But I do not face this issue on my localhost. Please share the console error when you see the blank page. Inspect Element -> Show Console and share the screenshot.

What's new about this problem? Has it been identified or fixed?

Similar problem... I just want to upload some images I want to put in some subfolders but if I want to insert it into an image addon and I doubleclick on the folder to enter it, it selects the folder as the "image" and I can't do anything anymore so I'm forced to reload the site which is a hugh problem if I edited some things without saving so far and I can't use images I uploaded that are in folders :/

Okay my mentioned issue is now gone but a new problem appeared which is that I can't drag and drop images into the media manager everytime I do it, it freezes on the "Drop files to upload" screen and nothing happens. So currently I'm forced to upload every image piece by piece with the "upload files" button. Well because I can at least upload it even though it takes a bit longer I'm not that annoyed but it would be good if you look into it and maybe some other people notice the same issue.

You have already released SPPB 4.0.4 and the problem persists, I already left the video please watch and analyze this happens even in clean installations without another extension, in all versions of Joomla.

Agree, that is a realy ugly problem as it is not possible to develop pages on a local system. For me it is not possible to do everything online. So there needs to get an Update ultra fast please!

I can confirm that this issue is not fixed. When are you going to fix this issue, it has been going on since version 4.0. Before you keep adding new features, fix the known issues. Make a list of them, that will help to fix one issue after another. And above all, it helps not to forget them. See screencast

No solved in 4.0.6

I have tried it in different local Windows development environments like WampServer, Xampp, EasyPHP, UniformServer, tested with PHP 7, 8, together with Helix Ultimate, only with Casiopeia and it really does NOT work. As you can see, I'm not the only one, there are already several of us who have resorted here, and how many more are there that don't report? please resolve we have taken the time to record videos, share screenshots, and reported that this happens when the Joomla images folder has subfolders.

My site is on a local server, but if you look at the screencast, you should be able to reproduce this on your side. I have tried it in Firefox, Chrome, Edge, same result. As you can see it happens in the article integration. Later i tried it in SPPB 4 it self. Same result.

Media Manager issue is fixed in the new update. Please update your SP Page Builder version 4.0.7.

I Updated, Reinstalled an tested in new installation and thi issu is NOT FIXED.

As I said before, this happens on Windows OS, I have tried it on localhost based on Wamp Server, Uniform Server, XAMPP, Easy PHP, it does not work in any of them, and in all of them it returns the same error that I have left in previous messages. And the problem happens when there are other folders inside the images folder, the logic says that the script is not reading the subfolders correctly, maybe it has to do with permissions (I never restrict anything).

In the changelog it says that a Media Manager problem has been solved when SCROLL is done, this is an error that gives the editor and not just media manager.

If others are having the same problem please report.

After my previous answer I tried on a different (new) computer but running Windows, and the result is the same editor disappears when trying to access Joomla's images folder.

When will you finally test your product before you release it? It is not fixed. It always takes countless attempts before something is finally fixed. That can't be it. What's going on with you Joomshapers. It's getting worse and worse, instead of finally working out for the best. Your developers are getting more and more arogant, claiming they have fixed something, but in fact they haven't. Not like this! SPPB 4 is dead for me. Too bad, it used to be such a good tool. Thanks to a harebrained idea, it has become a cripple.

Unfortunately, the issue is not yet solved. My sincere apology for the delay. It is kinda difficult since it only occurs on windows OS. The developers are trying to solve this ASAP. It will be fixed in the next release. Hopefully, in a week we will get the update.

I have only tested the problem on Windows and WampServer, and now it works correctly, if developers and other users can test it successfully on OS like Linux, Mac, and local servers like MAMP, Xampp, EasyPHP or UniformServer I think this problem would be solved completely. Remember that in development a problem can be solved and a new one can be born.

Hi there, today I found some time to test "fixed MediaManager"-Version. What shall I say, it works. I tested with the acual version Xampp (PHP 8.2.0),
Win 10, Joomla 4.2.8

So, I will say, for me this issue doesn't exist any longer.
