Hi,

I can't access to my Helix Ultimate Template Options any more (with the message "Helix Ultimate Framework does not respond" :

  • Helix Ultimate 2.0.11
  • Joomla 4.2.2

The issue was the same with the previous version of Helix Ultimate.

Thank you,

Philippe

Hello,

You will find the access below. I do not have Akeeba Tools Pro. I have just installed the free version to make easier the restoration of the website in the future. But, before I used my web host to restore the database.

Thank you, Philippe

In general your website is slow, also becuase it loads huge ammount of data from widgets.kiwi.com, and becuase template operates on front-end only it crash it.

There is basic tip how to solve it

  1. Set "test" page as default for 3 minutes or any other without kiwi widget !!
  2. Then Open Template Options - make needed changes, save it and back to orginal accueil page.

Hopefully you don't change template setting everyday so this is quite useful solution.

Hi Paul,

Thank you for your answer, but it did not work.

I also desactivated Helix Ultimate, and now the website is much much much faster... So, I guess, the issue is coming from the template and not kiwi widget. What do yo think ?

Hard to say, over 80% users here use Helix Ultimate for their projects. And most of them get very high score in Google Speed test (85%-98%). I also use HU for my private sites, and all works smooth. So it can be something else that slow you down. It request error logs investigation and debugger mode in your case. You can always use our older, Helix3 for testing period.

You can also ask hosting support what it can be, maybe sort of security settings, who knows.

If it would be a common issue all users would have it, right, but no similar topics so far.

Hi Paul,

Once again, even with a simple homepage, I can't access to the HU template options. Any idea what could be wrong ?

I was also thinking about reinstalling HU template but is there any way to save my settings (customs css and other parameters) without going through template options ?

Thank you, Philippe

Do you have ALTERNATIVE hosting account or maybe your friend/client have or somebody from your city Joomla community - where you can recover your website backup and check there for one day at least. It will help you understand current source of problem.

I'm facing the same issue, i have several websites using helix ultimate and Joomshaper template, all in the same server, when i click on the template options i get "ERR_CONNECTION_RESET" error, not sure what this means exactly, i've disabled the Mod Security to test if this is causing it, if you have any idea how to fix this, please share. Thank you in advance.

Please ask Hosting Support, this is issue on the server side /settings/

Becuase: The “ERR_CONNECTION_RESET” error in Joomla! (or in a browser in general) means that the connection between the browser and the server has been suddenly interrupted – the server has “reset” the connection.

Extra tips:

  1. Cloudflare or other WAF/proxy – if you use one, disable it temporarily and check the direct connection.
  2. Temporarily rename .htaccess to something like htaccess.bak and check the Template Options again.
  3. Incorrect PHP settings (max_execution_time, memory_limit, post_max_size) - increase values of those.
  4. Antivirus / Firewall software installed on your PC/Mac - may also do it, Disable protection for 3min.

Probably a full copy of your site would work on my hosting account or localhost without any issues.

Thank you Paul. It didnt work after checking all the points you've shared. PHP verion is 8.3 However, the issue was resolved, it was my PC's Norton Antivirus that was preventing the access.

Good to know, sometimes it's good to have 2nd latop for such a tests, without any extra installed on it.

Please mark topic as solved (if you can).
