ok so i figured that out and installed it.

However none of the default images show up(even though they are there)

all that shows up is a gray image that says "JoomShaper"

Glad that you have found it. However, which pack did you installed, please? The Quickstart? Well the images may subject to copyright and so they the quickstart includes placeholders only. You may check this:

looking in the images directory they are all there.

I mainly use the stock images for comparison. when I add my own.
