Accessibility Statement

Creating Helix Ultimate 2.0 we have web accessibility in mind. That's why this new template framework is optimal accessibility-friendly and Section 508 compliance in many areas. It can pass most of the WCAG 2.1 AA web validators tests that identify possible issues for people who have disabilities.

Notice! Any tool cannot tell you if your web content is accessible. Only a human can determine true accessibility.

We’re always looking to improve the accessibility of the Helix Ultimate 2.0 code. With upcoming updates of the Helix template, we are going to improve even more aspects of accessibility requested by users and Accessibility Guidelines. For example, we will improve MegaMenu navigation over time. If you find any accessibility problems or think we’re not meeting accessibility requirements, contact us via our support forum.

If you are building a website that has to be accessible, in accordance with:

  • Level A and Level AA of the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1)
  • Section 508 of the US Rehabilitation Act for features and functions.
  • The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
  • Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No.2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

We recommend using also additional, external extensions, widgets or scripts that may improve the accessibility of your website. But always remember that content inside the website has to be accessible, not only template code. When sites are correctly designed, developed, and edited, all users have equal access to information and functionality.

Basic Tips to Improve your Website Content Accessibility:

  • Use Semantic Headings
  • Use Image ALTs that corresponds of image content
  • Use Good Anchor Text (meaningful text)
