Page Builder 4 - First Time Installed And Blank Screen

SP Page Builder 2 years ago

I just bought SP PB for the second time. Same thing always happens. I try to create a page, then I get a blank screen.

Any suggestions how to fix this otherwise will have to ask for a refund for the second time. BTW, the free version worked - the new one did not.

THanks Marty

Does anyone have a solution? I heard many people having a hard time with Joomla 4 and SP Page Builder 4.

Does this mean SP Page Builder 4 is not ready or compatible? The reason I purchased it in the first place was because I am upgrading everything to work with J4.

Hi Martin, What do you mean with a blank screen. Your scoop of description is not very clear. J4 + SPPB 4 works together. You are saying that you are tryining to create a page, yes, and what are you inserting on this page and where do you get a blank screen? How is your settings with global checking + cache ?

Okay sorry if not clear. Here is what happened.

  1. Installed the free trial version - worked. I could create a page but there were limitations - so I purchased Pro
  2. Installed Pro
  3. Inserted license information
  4. Selected SP PBPro --> Page ---> Add New Page -- Entered page name
  5. Hit Save & Go
  6. Goes to a blank page (white/nothing)
  7. Address for the blank page is: https://grumpybaits-dev.cloudaccess.host/index.php?option=com_sppagebuilder&view=form&layout=edit&tmpl=component&id=14

Simply put, the tool does not allow me to even start.

Also, the FAQ has a reference to a blank page. The issue is, nothing in the FAQ aligns to what I am seeing in Joomla.

Any help is appreciated.

Hello Martin,

When I visit the URL that you posted according to point 7 it resolves OK!

I think you are running into some cache issues that is very common with SPPB. Please also have in mind that version 4.x in the SPPB has many bugs were you need to create and build work-a-rounds until the code is fixed and polished.

I have done the scenario you have several times but a complete restart and cache clean normally resolves all license issues. I do also know that it was some issues with the Joomshaper license system, if that is resolved or not is outside my control.

Is there a process to uninstall this and reinstall the previous?

Do you know if the previous version works with J4?

Appreciate your responses

Thanks

That is not recommended.

I could have a look in your setup later today if you give me creds with admin, I am busy with development at the moment.

I am not working for Joomshaper so you could not place the creds in the Hidden Content, but you could e-mail this to jmhd63 (a) gmail.com

Probably an easy fix ;-)

Thanks for the offer. Currently I have the SP Page Builder support supposedly working on it plus I have a developer helping me migrate from J3 to J4. So I don't want another developer in there with all that is going on. If I don't get resolution from Joomshaper directly, I will take you up on this - thank you

Hard to believe PBPro 4 was released publicly with so many issues.

BTW, the page you see is not the correct page at all. Somehow PB is redirecting to the homepage. THis makes zero sense.

Hi there,

I appreciate you reaching out. I sincerely apologize for this oversight. Will you please provide me the Joomla administrator access and database access to check the issue? I will check & get back to you soon.

-Thanks
