Yes, that's right, I reinstalled SP Page Builder 4.0.7 and everything started working version SP Page Builder 4.0.8 was poorly tested by developers in my opinion

Updated to version 4.0.10. When I try to edit the homepage of the newskit template I cannot add the "articles" addon in page. In order to add the addon article I go to the override directory via FTP and rename the "site.php" If I do this change I can add the articles addon in frontpage editor but the homepage does not look as expected. So I rename again the site.php file but the problem in editing returns.

Could you please give me a screenvideo of this whole process? So that I can forward it to our team.

Could you please tell me why you have renamed the site.php file? As per my knowledge its not good way to change any core code or files of the template.

I have renamed the "site.php" file, because it is the only way to edit the homepage. As you can see in the pdf I have sent you, when the "site.php" isn't renamed the homepage does not appear in the SPpgebuilder for editing. When I rename it, I am able to edit the page.

Yes of course. At the monent the "site.php" file in the override folder is renamed. So you will be able to edit the homepage. If you need you can install a file explorer in the backend to access the files on the server and do the tests. (Like FF Explorer)

I have talked with our team they said they have updated the override addon. Could you please keep a backup and reinstall the Newskit template? We hope it will work on the updated version.

Unfortunatelly it happens the same. I downloaded the template and reinstall it, update to the latest Helix and Pagebuilder version but I cannot access the homepage again.
