Kind template redirects to the installation folder after installation

Asked by delek 1 week ago Last activity 1 week ago

I successfully installed the Kind template, but my site keeps redirecting me to the installation folder instead of opening the site.

I already removed the installation folder through FTP, but the redirect still happens. How can I fix this?

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out. I just installed the Joomla 6 quickstart package on my localhost, and it works fine. Could you provide FTP access & fresh database credentials so I can install the Kind Quickstart package? Don't forget to unzip the quickstart package.

Best regards,

Please check the following:

  • Verify the $live_site value in Joomla's configuration.php file.
  • Check the .htaccess file for any incorrect rewrite or redirect rules.
  • Temporarily disable Joomla's SEF URLs and URL rewriting options to see if the issue persists.
  • Check whether any server-level or hosting-level redirect rules are pointing to the installation directory.
  • Clear the Joomla and browser caches, then test the website again.

If the issue persists, please share the website URL, your Joomla version, and the server environment so we can investigate further.

It was a cache issue. I fixed it through the provider's control panel by clearing the memory cache. thanks

Glad to know that your issue has been resolved.

Thank you so much for clarifying that the issue was due to caching.
