SP Pagebuilder 4.0.9 Still Unusable In The Joomla Editor

I'm not sure how you call the function allowing to build web pages with SP Pagebuilder in Joomla articles (not with Pages), but it still does not work with this new version. I post this message after every release where I receive a mail for, claiming that all bugs are fixed. There are not! And sometimes I get an answer a few days later telling me that this will be fixed in next version. Please, WHEN WILL THIS WORK AGAIN? anc when will your support enhance again to become like it was a few months ago...

I mean this:

Hi

Thanks for contacting us. And really sorry for this inconvenience. Could you please give me a screenvideo of it? So that I can inform our team about it.

-Regards.

What do you mean with a screen video? It just does nothing, and I have reinstalled the version 3.9 which worked perfectly. So I am not in state to send you any video. The screenshot I sent is from version 3.9, the working one. With 4..., I cannot import my templates, nor use existing ones. It redirects me to " frontend editing", and even there, I get just a white screen. Anyway, I cannot work "frontend" for editing my site. The structure is really important for me, so I have to do the work in backend, which is OK for me... but not if it does not work!

Why do you suggest that it is fixed? The old version worked. Version 4 does not! I guess this is about the 4th time I post this issue, each time I get a mail announcing all bugs are fixed... even if it is not the case.

If possible please give me a screen video of this issue so that I can forward it to our DEV team.

I answered you this question already. I cannot send you a video because I uninstalled the version 4 and reinstalled the old one. What happens is quite easy: nothing happens... When I click on SP Pagebuilder, instead of seeing the template I use for my pages, it sends me to the front end edit, which is not wat I need. Further, even the frontend edit does not work, it results in a white screen.

Hi,

Thanks again for your answer.

I do not know how to make you understand that I DO NOT WANT TO EDIT in the Frontend. I want to use SP PageBuilder within Joomla article (that's why I sent you a screenshot in my first post, just to explain where my problem is). And this function does not work anymore with SpPagebuilder 4 !

Did you try our latest version of page builder?

yes! And I had to go back to version again, just like each time a new release of Page Builder is released because it ends in a white screen...

Hi Jean-Marie,

I can confirm this issue, it's due to the fact Pagebuilder 4 doesn't have backend editing now. It is a deliberate choice Joomshaper made in the process of developing version 4. So don't upgrade and use Pagebuilder 4 if you need backend editing until at least the next version which should get backend editing after many complaints from users like you, me and many others.

I personally will stay on version 3 until these important issues are fixed, the current version 4 gives still too many problems.

Regards, Rein

Thanks for your reaction, Rein

I was unaware that Joomshaper deliberately removed the back-end feature from their platform. In fact, I couldn't imagine such a thing, having built over 800 pages for my site using this feature (which seems elementary to me). This is also why I chose Joomshaper to build the site 3 years ago.

I would of course have appreciated a comment from the help desk like: "Be patient, this function has been removed from version 4, but it will probably return in the future". It would have saved me from installing each new version, in the hope that it would work, with each time having to return to the previous version. Obviously, it works, but doesn't the constant back and forth from version 4.x to 3.9 have consequences on the stability of the system...? We never know.

I saw the announcement of the return of the backend last week and I'm looking forward to seeing the results.

In the meantime, I'm keeping version 3.9, while taking into account the possibility of migrating to another pagebuilder system.

It would be nice from Joomshaper also to clarify if the new version with back-end will also work for Joomla pages as it does for version 3.9. Because I do not intend to develop my site with the "page" function of Joomshaper. Using SP Pagebuilder integrated with Joomla articles is an ideal situation for me.
