[BUGS] Helix Ultimate 2.0.13 Update

Did anyone performan any quality assurance before releasing this or are we the testers as this update broke my site.
When upgrading to Helix Ultimate v2.0.13 it erased style settings of the header bar / menu and is also still showing it's v2.0.12. I cleared and turned off all cache, the only way I was able to resolve the issue was to re-download and upload copies of the template and plug-in and re-upload them to fix this. After my custom styles for the header and menu reverted to default.
Also, during the update there was an error about a missing setup file.
In the template settings editor there's a bunch of undefines in the template Off Canvas Menu
HELIX_ULTIMATE_GROUP_PRESET_OFFCANVAS_MENU
Also, in Basic - Error Page there's another undefined line: HELIX_ULTIMATE_ERROR_FONT_LOAD
In Blog - Details another undefine: HELIX_ULTIMATE_BLOG_DETAILS_RELATED_ARTICLE_COLUMN Looks like this update wasn't sufficiently tested before being released.
When editing a Template Preset I changed Preset 8 to red shade value of #cc0000 and it's not recognized after apply it, it still uses the preset value of #ed145b
If I attempt to reset the preset to default values, it does nothing and keeps my override values.
If I turn on Custom Style, none of my style choices function.
If I enable "Compress CSS Files" my custom header & menu changes re-appear, but I'm still unable to override them with SP Builder.
I'm restoring my site back to 2.0.12 until these are addressed. Lesson learned.

Accepted AnswerNone of my changes to the header or top bar were updating in the builder or on after hitting save or viewing the page in another tab. When I turned on in Advanced Compile SCSS to CSS everything started working as expected and I can see the changes.
Hi. Just for you understand. Advanced Compile SCSS to CSS is exactly the option thanks to which the template settings are working. If it is disabled, then the template settings should not work. It works as expected. The settings of the template change the values of the variables in the SCSS, then this is compiled to CSS, so that the browser can process it.
If you use template settings in your work, then this option should be OFF only after the development is completed.

As I told before (in your 1st topic), indeed it was small mistake with template zip. You can download and reinstall to fix bug 1 & 2. Sorry 4 that. In my test version that was OK and in QS as well.
- Language file fixed.
- Plugin Version number fixed.
- About others problems please CREATE A VIDEO and share link to it.
We will fix it in the next working days, but we need visual details, thx.

If I enable "Compress CSS Files" my custom header & menu changes re-appear, but I'm still unable to override them with SP Builder.
I tested our new template also when users have custom header created by them, and all was OK. What is relation with SPPB or CSS Compression from Template Options? CSS compression do not change settings in Layout only compress CSS code into one file.
As I said before we need video with details or backup of your website.

Hi Paul. I believe that the key to understanding is not just compression, but compression in the cache file. If you had many settings and turned on this option, this creates the Cache folder in which there are cache files. When you turned off, and then again turned on this option, previously cached files are again connected. This is my assumption. I did not check, but by logic it should be so. Perhaps there should be a separate button for cleaning this cache or automatic cleaning when you turn off the compression.
And of course we need to not forget about the turning ON SCSS to CSS option if we want to change the template settings.

Template installation ended with an error:
Warning JInstaller: :Install: Can't find Joomla XML setup file. The Joomla package cannot be installed through the Extension Manager. Please use the Joomla! Update component to update Joomla.
Please advise. Udi

Accepted Answer@Udi - when you downloaded template file today or yesterday?
Maybe your zip is corrupted, download again and install it. I tested 60sec ago and was OK.
Download template: helixultimate_template_v2.0.13.zip (2,5MB) , not quickstart (56MB) QS cannot be installed inside current Joomla!

Accepted AnswerOkay, I re-updated to version 2.0.13 today and the experience is better, but some issues still persist.
✅ The version number updated properly. ✅ The language file is corrected. ❌ Template style updates are still not working. ❌ Update generates a error message (Jinstaller: :Install: Can't find XML setup file.)
NOTE: I have all compression and compilation turned off while I build this site, and only will turn it on when it's ready to go live. Also, when working, I have Cloudflare set to developer mode and flush the cache, and also flush my browser cache before I start working.
I've noticed even with these settings off in the /cache/helixultimate & /cache/com_templates/shaper_helixultimate/ cache files are still being generated.

So that doesn't make sense and needs to be investigated.
I'll re-upload a copy of the update to be safe.

Yes, Compile SCSS to CSS - is to reaload styles.
About XML - I asked developer to check it tomorrow morning. thx
