Sorry ... meanwhile the errors cost more and more time and money. I'm sick about this builder at this time. Sorry.
Errors:
-
copy & paste from source code into editor doesn't work at the sidebar The builder changes the code to the previous state. You have to maximize the editor to have the copied code stayed as you want
-
copy & paste from rows & columns doesn't work fine. The builder add code which was never type in like blank characters and "<p></p>"

some margin / padding fields are filled with 0 instead of the values I put in. So most of things have to done twice!

Drop down menu: The drop down menus are always self closing after clicking. The menu stays only visible after the second click on the drop down.
These are only a few things. There are more. The actual versions smells like "banana version" - ripes at the customer.
Please provide a reasonable working version. You owe that to your customers. This has been going on since the 4.x. Sometimes now and then less is perhaps more. Sorry.

Accepted AnswerYes unfortunately i can agree these bugs. Its time consuming if for example a "<p></p>" appear out of nowhere in the Editor. :(

It is the default behaviour that the texts under the text editor will be enclosed in <p> tags. Please share your issue in details.

As you can see in the Screenshot https://prnt.sc/4QxhwfhXDcLm from left to ride: In The Content Editor is a new row added. In the Code Editor you see the Code. This results in a shifted content. :-(
I remove the code and everything is fine again but sometimes it appears again. I have not reproduced that so i cannot tell you at the moment, when this happens. If i find out, i will post it here. I am using the Layout Florist. Joomla, SPPB and JCE are up to date.

Apology for your experience. We have to change a lot of areas in SP Page Builder 5 from the previous version. It is a better version than SP Page Builder 4. In the near future, it will be more stable.
However, I could not get your issues properly. It would be better if you could take a screencast and share here. We will immediately check and take actions against the issues.

Unfortunately this issue still exists in the latest 5.0.6 version of SP Pagebuilder in combination with JCE Pro. When editing or inserting text in text addon <p> tags are inserted and the cursor is returning to the top of the text. With every new edit or insertion new <p> tags are added which make the use of JCE Pro with SP Pagebuilder unworkable.
Pavel already mentioned this issue quite a while ago for JCE core and I also replied in that thread that from version 5.0.3 the problem also exists with JCE Pro, until version 5.0.2 this problem was absent with JCE Pro.

This problem appears with JCE Pro version 2.9.38 as well with the latest version 2.9.39 The problem started after SPPB 5.0.3 release, version 5.0.2 and before didn't have this problem with JCE Pro although Pavel mentioned it was already present in JCE core before. As you can see in the screencast it is impossible to add text the in the existing paragraph. When trying to add text by typing the cursor jumps to the top and another <p> tag is added. When clicking in the paragraph with text again the cursor is placed and as soon as any key is hit it again jumps to the top and adds another <p> tag. The problem I mentioned still exists with version 5.0.7 of SP Pagebuilder. After trying to find the exact issue I found out that it only happens on the sites which have been upgraded from Joomla3 to Joomla4 with old SP Pagebuilder version 3 and afterwards upgraded to the latest SP Pagebuilder 5. I have to remark that the mentioned sites started showing this issue after version 5.0.3 of SP Pagebuilder was released, until version 5.0.2 everything worked fine with JCE Pro. Clean install of Joomla 4 with Helix Ultimate and latest version of SP Pagebuilder 5.0.7 are working fine with JCE Core and Pro version 2.9.39 All tested on localhost development server. Hope this helps in finding the cause.

But i was now able to reproduce the "<p></p>" bug for buttons.
When a Text Block addon is selected in the Frontend Editor and a Button addon is selected after that, then the "<p></p>" tags are added to the title of the Button addon. https://prnt.sc/6usqA6EKQ-5e This also happens when a Feature Box addon is selected before selecting a Button addon. Its not happening when a Heading addon is selected before selecting a Button addon.
So it seems JCE related because the Text Block and Feature Box addon have JCE embedded.
