Font Book > Error When Uploading

I would like to use font book in pagebuilder pro 5. When I try to upload a custom font I get an error message "max size limit exceeded". The font file is only 44 kb large. I have even adjusted the upload limit for joomla media to 100 MB. Do I have to adjust some other settings in the page builder menu?

Try the 7 steps after opening the Font Book.

You can also read the Instructions here: https://www.joomshaper.com/forum/question/25930

Thanks. Sorry. I'm new here and just didn't do a search in the forum prior to posting my problem.

I will try to do as instructed.

Actually I have to fall back to my problem.

The issue apparently is not solved for me: First Fontsquirrel doesn't do the font-conversions (I don't know if it's a technical issue on their site).

But even when I try to upload a zip file containing some .woff-files I still get the "max size limit exceeded" error.

Now for me it would be suitable to know where I should put the font-files and how to make the system know that those files are available, so that I could see those fonts marked as installed in Font Book.

Can you help me with this?

Hey,

I already watched that. Finally Fontsquirrel seems to work again.

I still get the "max size limit exceeded" error. I used the ZIP provided by Fontsquirrel. The file is 326 k large. So it's pretty tiny.

Obviously until there is a remedy for this bug I need to upload the fonts in some other way. Is that possible.

By the way: Google Fonts are not possible to chose when I want to use a custom font for a text block in page builder. There I can only see some system fonts. Yes, I have put the Google Fonts API into the field in page builder settings as well as in the template settings (I use helix ultimate template).

No, unfortunately it isn't resolved yet.

How can I attach or submit a screenshot?

The error comes right after I have chosen the ZIP-archive to upload.

I try a link to the screenshot:

Why do ask the person to create anotherf issue when it is the same issue? Stephanie was right in posting it here. I have the same issue and i posted the issue separately and got directed to this post. What's wrong with you people in Joomshaper?

The solution is to upload your fonts directly to the folder from your local host to ~/components/com_sppagebuilder/assets/fonts.

example: If you want to use a unix-shell to copy the fonts via scp from your local-folder use this: scp *.ttf username@server:/components/com_sppagebuilder/assets/fonts

Please do not give escape solution by refering to someone else's solution.

Its not a solution. Its a work-around for the bug in SP Page Builder. Go and get this fixed please.

Hi Mirza,

Copying the font just like that does not work. I tried that and nothing happen. If my understanding is correct and in developing web sites for years, i think the css also need to copied and edited. That is what SPPB's font upload is supposed to do but apparently its buggy again and it does not work.

Additionally, i do not want to do work-arounds. We paid for SPPB and it should work as stated. So they need to fix the bug now! If we do as you advise, when we get a new release things may ( I said "may") not work.

Btw, did your solution work or did you use css styles in the addons?

Doesn't work... I mean the official way - and it should work as then the fonts are to be used. And the Squirrel tool is useless - bad font format, blah blah... (otf / ttf).
